Cannabis Research Center

High impact interventions: As a community-based researcher examining the intersections of commercial cannabis and public policy, my goal is to promote dialogue and knowledge sharing between cannabis-facing  institutions.

In 2020 I began a Digital Communications Specialist III appointment with the Department of Environmental Science, Policy & Management(ESPM) in the College of Natural Resources at the University of California, Berkeley.

My role is supporting the Berkeley Cannabis Research Center(CRC) to build on existing relationships within the cannabis ecosystem, municipal, city, county and state agencies who have been seeking educational resources and data on cannabis as they struggle to implement Prop 64 regulations.

There is no formal system for providing cannabis education as continuing education or workforce development thereby creating a barrier to administrative efficiency, compliance and enforcement.
